About Me
Chef Jessica Steppe is an award winnning baker whose passion of baking pies started at a very young age. Growing Up Jessica learned how to bake with her grandmother. Baking together was always a very special memory for Jessica and when her grandmother passed away she continued her legacy by using all her passed down family pie recipes.
Baking was not always Jessica’s career. She orginally was studying killer whales in the San Juan Islands and became a certified marine naturalist. During this time Jessica became very passionate about protecting our salmon pupulation and our enviroment. Although Jessica loved spending her time at sea teaching others about whales she spent most of her time at home baking pies for friends and family. After winning a few pie baking competitions she decided to make the leap to go to culinary school and bake full time as a career. After graduating with her degree in Baking Arts from Lake Washington Tech with Summa Cum Laude and Phi Theta Kappa honors she began her adventure into the restuarunt industry where she found her winning 425 Magazine’s 2024 Best Chef and 40 under 40. At 23 years old Jessica deicded to turn her passion into her career by launching Cutie Pies in 2025.
When Jessica isn’t baking she enjoys riding her horses, flying planes, figure skating, and spending time with her pets.
